Memorial weekend is upon us again. For me, this weekend marks the beginning of the good bass ledge fishing. This time of year large numbers of post spawn largemouth can be found on off-shore structure and they're feeding heavily. It can be a little hard not to forget what this weekend is really about. Thanks to all our military veterans who have given part or all or their lives so we can enjoy this great country!
LARGEMOUTH BASS
Catching lots of 3Lb to 4Lb fish on ledges. Big worm, big cranks, big spoons, big spinner baits, big swim baits, and jigs are getting them.
CRAPPIE
Catching some nice Crappie on curly tail jigs. Action is a little slow.
BLUEGILL
Still some spawning gills to be found. Catching them on jig and waxey.
CATFISH
The Channel Cats are spawning heavily and large numbers can be caught using night crawlers.
WHITE BASS
Good action can be found casting inline spinners.
