Julie,
Please tell your captain we had the most delicious fish fry tonight! The guys had such a great time out on Kentucky Lake with Kirk today, and we were thrilled with the fish they caught in their time on his boat! And, we even have fish in the freezer to take home as well! Tomorrow we are all going out in the pontoon, and one of us girls sure hope to catch a crappie!
Sue
Everyone told me Kirk was the best and he didn't let us down. No one was catching anything from what I heard at the marina but we loaded up. He's the best. We will definitely be back!

Fished with Capt. Kirk the first week of May 2015.  This was the best freshwater guided trip I have ever experienced.  We, hubby and I, went out a full day for crappie and blue gill. Water temp was between spawn seasons, but that didn't deter our catch.  We caught crappie, catfish, bass AND the elusive red ear blue gill.  Too much fun.  Kirk is so mellow, while still seriously trying to put us on the fish.  We came in for lunch, at Kenlake Marina. We finished the day with a "plethora" (look it up Kirk) of thirty-two fish that netted ten pounds of fillets. If you want a guide on KYL he's your man.

Thanks Kirk. Marian & Roger Maxwell

PS: We need to book a date for a full day in mid October or so for crappie. Whenever you think "high" season will be in our favor.

PSS: I caught a mess of fish in our pond just to test out electric fillet method. You are a good teacher. I had to watch the video before my first cut.

Kirk,

I really appreciated your efforts on the Jim Moore fishing trip of June 30th. Mark, Melissa and myself had a wonderful time and our fish fry of July 1st was spectacular. Again we are planning next year's vacation for the week of June 26th through July 2nd.so please save an afternoon trip for the Moore group.

Again Great Job
Jim Moore

Julie,

Thanks for sending the pics. Kirk is a way cool guy. I've learned so much about a lake I thought I had so many answers to. I appreciate all your help in setting up such a memorable experience. Hopefully my partner and I can do well in the tournament and I can talk him into coming back down for some crappie action with Kirk.

Thanks again.
Steve

Hello again from Northern Kentucky!

We all enjoyed a wonderful fish dinner last night and thought about the fun fishing trip that we just had with you! Thank you for making it such a nice experience for all of us! Can't wait to relive it through the photos that you were so kind to take for us!

Again, many thanks!
A great memory for our family!

Sincerely, Wendy, Tom, and Ross Borthwick

Hello Julie and Kirk,

We have returned home from our family vacation and had a wonderful time on Lake Kentucky at Hickory Hills Resort. A highlight of our vacation was, for sure, the fishing expedition with Kirk last Sunday morning. What fun we had catching fish as this was an experience Leah and Amy had not had. I asked Leah to rank the fishing trip on a scale of 1 to 10 and she ranked it 100! Our thanks to both of you for helping to create these lasting memories for our family.

Thanks again and we hope to have an opportunity to do this again.

Kind Regards,
Steve & Amy Mortensen (Leah – 10 yrs)

Julie and Kirk,

Wanted to thank you so much for the wonderful time we had fishing. We haven't caught fish like those in years. My wife gave me that fishing trip for my birthday and it was the best birthday present ever! Looking forward to many more trips with you.

Thanks again for so much fun,
Charles and Nicholas

Hi Kirk and Julie,

Thanks again for a great time fishing last week. Hannah, Isaac, and I really enjoyed the trip. Thanks!

Kirk,

I wanted to personally thank you for the wonderful experience we had back on May 19th. My uncle Ed (88 years old) had not been fishing in over twenty years and to give him that experience one more time was great. I especially appreciate you taking care of him up in the front of the boat. My cousins and I also had a great time and we fried the fish that night and ate all of it. We had a wonderful experience thanks to you. Hope all is going well for you.

Ron Johnson

Kirk,

Could you please send pictures of Dean Ross's big small mouth bass that he caught while with you on Friday June 14th. He had such a good time and was thankful that we got you to guide him to the big one.

We will be back next year and will have you again. Thank you for everything.

Hello Julie and Kirk,

I would really like to say that I have found the best guiding service Kentucky Lake has to offer, yours.

My wife and I and my brother inlaw Earl "holy hockey sticks" have the best time. Always catch fish and Kirk you always go the extra distance to get us on the fish as we always do.

I finally caught a bass bigger than six pounds on this lake with a cast on my broken hand and a healing collar bone!!!!

Could you please send me the pictures that were taken this week. It's the only picture I have of the bass and Earl.

Thank you very much, have a great summer and we will talk to you soon!

Dave

Hello Julie!

We just got back from fishing with Kirk and I want to say it was awesome. All three of us had a great time and caught more fish than we ever have before. Kirk kept us on the fish the whole time and was cool to talk to while doing it. If we're ever back this way again we'll definitely look him up to take us out.

Tell Kirk thanks for the great time!

Mike

Hi Kirk,

Just wanted to thank you for the great fishing you provided for Julia and I. We both had a really great time and are already looking forward to fishing with you again.

Thanks again for a great time. Hopefully next time we'll be able to have dinner together at Patti's.

Best regards, Wes

Kirk,

Thanks so much for spending the morning fishing with me on Independence Day. I had a great time fishing with you as always. Even though it was 106 degrees and water temps of 90 we caught a ton of largemouth bass...and on the first spot you pulled up to. 51 bass under those conditions is amazing. I have been fishing with you since 2008 and nobody on KY Lake can find and catch bass like you can. Thanks again for fitting me into the schedule. I'll see you next summer!

Kirk,

Thanks a bunch for the great time today. Nate and I both had such a great time, I?m sure he?ll want to come back, which means I get to come back! I appreciate the tips you gave today, and I?ll give them a shot on my own and try to do half as good as today. I may be back late this year for more.

Thanks!

Kirk,

Thanks for the awesome fishing day; we knocked the living hell out of them. We had such a wonderful time and the thrill of catching a fish on nearly every cast was simply amazing. Your knowledge of the lake and expertise with the fishing side of things really made for an over-the-top experience and long lasting memory.

I know you took a bunch of picture of our day on the lake and captured the trophy fish of the day---my 6 pound large mouth bass. If possible can you send some of the pictures so I can do some bragging?

Thanks again for the best day of fishing ever----I think we boated well over 100 fish!!!!!

Please say hi to your wife ?Jennifer A? for me

Take care

Bob

Kirk,
Thanks for the awesome trip back in June (during the official practice period of the FLW tournament). My dad & I fished w/you out of Shawnee Bay (from your buddy's new Ranger). You put us on a bunch of fish, but more importantly, you taught us some key points about ledge fishing that allowed us to catch a bunch of keepers (to include a 6 pounder) the following two days. Your pointers helped us find new areas & replicate what you showed us. You also provided a lot of helpful pointers concerning electronics. All in all, we had a great time, caught a bunch of fish, and learned a lot while we were doing it. I will recommend you to everyone I know who plans to fish KY Lake, as well as anyone who wants to become a better ledge fisherman.
Thanks again!

Thank you, you people are the best, I'm so glad that we used Capt. Kirk's Guide service and will use your service for all of our fishing trips to Kentucky Lake, Keep up the good work and again save some fish for us.

God Bless, and keep you in good health

Best regards

Ray

Captain Kirk,

Nina, Elle' and i had a wonderful day. This was the first time Elle' has been on a real fishing trip and she really enjoyed catching several different types of fish and the boat rides to different hot spots!!! The catfish and crappie were the largest we have ever caught and the consistent action made the day in the sun a day we will remember until our next trip with you. Thanks again for a wonderful experience.

Looking forward to the fish fry.

Mike

Julie,

We had the best time on Sunday!

Max, our 12 year old, said he would just like to move to KY. That's how much fun he had. We appreciate Kirk's patience with us. He is a true fishing pro!

Thanks again,
The Aubels
Bryan, Patty, Max and Will

Hi Captain Kirk,

Just wanted to write you and tell you how much Joe & I enjoyed our fishing trip yesterday! We've talked about it all day. Although we've had guide fishing trips before, yours was the most personable and fun trip we've had.

You worked hard to find the fish and keep us on the fish all day long. It surprised us to catch crappie like that at the end of June. Joe is telling everybody about the biggest Smallmouth Bass he's ever caught! Wow, that was a big one. The bass fishing was awfully exciting too. It was just an all around great day on the lake!

We had a real good time fishing with you, and feel like we've made a new friend down at beautiful Kentucky Lake.

Our best,
Joe (goldfish man) and Nancy Ganote

Hi Kirk-

Just wanted to drop you a note and tell you how much Scott and I enjoyed the trip on Thursday afternoon. We had a great time and it was a good first experience for Scott fishing with a guide. He loved it all - catching the fish, the electronics, and the nice boat!

As I mentioned, Scott starts college at Southern IL Edwardsville at the end of August, I hope to visit him while he is at school and maybe sneak back down to Jonathan Creek ;)) If I do we will be looking you up to book another trip!

Thanks again!
Ron

Kirk,
I just wanted to take a minute and say "Thanks". I had a great time yesterday watching my Dad hang that Catfish (was worth the price of the entire trip)! That is something I will remember as long as I am above ground.
The bottom line is that yesterday, you did more than take 2 fat guys fishing. We look forward to doing it again this fall.
Take Care,
Kevin

>In response to receiving the fishing photo of his son that he requested<

Hi Julie,

Thanks, that would be him....smile and all!!! That was the day after his birthday, so I was glad he got to fish with Kirk. I am sure that was the most bass he ever caught in one day. Again we had a great time and Lord willing we'll be back next year to fish again and hopefully not bring so much rain with us.

Have fun.

Hello Julie & Captain Kirk!

We enjoyed our fishing trip tremendously on Saturday. Jimmy had the best time he has ever had while fishing. He really enjoyed fishing from a boat. We were amazed how quickly you were able to get us on the fish and stay on them all day. I would not hesitate to use your services again or recommend you to others. Job well done.

Thanks again for such a great experience.

Andy

Hi, Kirk and Julie.

Thanks for a fantastic day on Kentucky Lake. As it happened, we were there barely a week after the lake had been closed for historic flooding. We worried whether we'd even be able to get on the lake.

But within a few minutes of Kirk launching the boat (via a ramp that was entirely underwater!), we had our first couple of bass, right there around the marina. Kirk took us to probably a dozen spots around the lake that day and we caught bass at every one of them, including a few big ones which I'm proud to see on your pictures page (May 2010).

We were glad we fished with Kirk and will be glad to do it again, and soon!

Bob

Hi Julie!
Thank you so very much for putting our pictures up on your web site! We have loved showing your guys' website to all of our friends and family members! Thanks for sending the pics too. I still can't believe that I caught that big of a Crappie! It even got recognition in our local newspaper! Capt Kirk is by far the Best fishing guide! We had such a great time with him and are very sure that we will book with you guys again! It was such a wonderful trip for us!
Thanks again,
Cinnamon and Aaron Weber

Hello Cap. Dave Wolf here. Just wanted to say that you are every bit as good as everyone is saying and better. I have had several guides in my travels and you are by far the best I ever had. Not to mention a lot of fun also. You guaranteed fish and you far exceeded my expectations. Thanks for a great time. Dave

I just wanted to send a note and tell you how thrilled we were fishing with you last Thursday. We had planned this trip for months and our anticipation was exceeded only by the incredible results. This was our first trip to Kentucky Lake and we really could not be any more satisfied. We had some pretty good laughs throughout the day as well!!

Really, thanks a million. I never imagined having such a great day of Crappie fishing. We are looking at schedules for later this year and will be in touch to book you potentially in May and October, as well as March 2011.

Kirk,

Just wanted to take the time to say thank you for an amazing day on the lake. I know I'm the most unlucky person alive, mainly with weather, as you saw. I had the time of my life and I know that Magen did as well. Even with the terrible weather we were still able to catch fish. Word was that you were the guy to call, and after fishing yesterday, I can definately believe it. I would greatly appreciate it if you could e-mail me the pictures that you took on your camera. Once again thank you for a great fishing trip and look forward to trying it again soon, only hopefully with a little more cooperation with the weather.

Sean Gould

Dear Captain Kirk,

Thank you so very much for the amazing fishing trip yesterday! Despite the windy, snowy, rainy, and cold weather, Sean and I had an absolute blast on the water! We really enjoyed catching all the fish and standing in awe at your ability to fillet them!

We truly had an awesome experience and one in which we will never forget! Considering it took us all evening to warm up, when we looked in the refrigerator to see "The Catch of the Day", it made the chills all worthwhile!!

Hopefully Mother Nature will cooperate a little better next year and maybe we will dodge the sleet and snow!

Thanks again so much for an unforgettable day on Kentucky Lake!

We can't wait until next year! May God bless you and your family.

Sincerely,
Magen L.

Kirk, Julie,

We had a great time fishing with you on Sunday. I have to say that out of all the fishing guides we've used, saltwater and freshwater, your service is #1 in our book. From start to finish we feel at home and like we're fishing with a good friend. I have to say that you do a great job with the younger kids. I was very impressed with how you worked with my son the entire trip. Even though he out fished me anyway and didn't need any help….HA!!

We are looking at trying to fit in a fall fishing trip this year so we'll be in contact with you soon.

Jerry & Jacob
Bridgeport Illinois

Captain Kirk,
I wanted to thank you again for a very memorable day of consistently catching fish. I have to admit that I was not very optimistic due to the weather reports, but man was I wrong! The weather cooperated and you put us on a spot where I caught the biggest crappie I have ever seen on my second cast, not to mention all of the other fish we caught. It got even better when you took us to another spot. We pulled up to the spot and you said that you can see a big ol bass on your sonar. Sure enough, on his very first cast, my dad catches a 4.5 lbs smallmouth bass. Minutes later, my brother catches the biggest crappie of his life (I have to admit that it was even bigger than mine). Then, my dad's pole bends over double again and he pulls in the biggest smallmouth he's ever caught, a 5.5 pounder!! I grew up fishing with my dad, and I can not think of a better way to spend his last day in the States before leaving for an overseas job. When I am up that way again, I will definitely be giving you a call to set up another trip. By the way, I would greatly appreciate it if you e-mail me the pictures you took. Taking those pictures is just another great thing of the many you do for the people that share your boat with you. Take care and all the best to you and your family.

Thanks Again,
Fred Riggs

Kirk and Julie,

Hope you are well and getting better. My dad and I could not have had a better time on our trip up there. We had a great time when we were on the water with you Kirk. You gave us the best information and showed us how and where to fish for the big ones. Thanks for making a special time with my dad even better.

Julie, thank you for your part in all of this too. You kept us informed and gave great advice when we requested it. You both do a wonderful job for your clients and helped make our trip more enjoyable.

If you could, please email me some of the pictures that Kirk took of us that day we were with him. We would both greatly appreciate it.

We are thinking about coming back up there in the fall of 2008 so we will schedule a trip with you as soon as we have a date in mind.

Thanks,
Jimmy Stephens

TO: KIRK WEBER
RE: 3/23 & 3/24 TRIP

OVER THE PAST THREE YEARS WE HAVE SCHEDULED A TRIP WITH YOU EVERY SPRING TO SEE IF WE CAN GET IN ON THE "SPRING CRAPPIE RUN" AND NEVER ONCE HAVE WE EVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED WITH THE RESULTS. ALTHOUGH "MOTHER NATURE" HAS GIVEN US SOME FITS, YOU NEVER EVER GAVE UP AND EACH YEAR PRIOR WE HAVE LEFT KY. LAKE FEELING GREAT ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE WE HAD WITH YOU ON THE WATER. BUT THIS YEAR THE "GOOD LORD & MOTHER NATURE" GOT TOGETHER AND GAVE US TWO FABULOUS DAYS. THE WEATHER WAS GREAT,THE FISHING WAS EVEN BETTER.

LOGAN AND I HAVE A BLAST WITH YOU EVERY YEAR AND AFTER TWO DAYS WITH YOU EVERY YEAR IT NEARLY FEELS LIKE FAMILY AND THAT CREDIT GOES TO YOU AND THE WAY YOU AND JULIE HAVE ALWAYS TREATED US.

I KNOW AS LONG AS I CAN, MY SON AND I WILL CONTINUE TO MAKE THIS TRADITION A TRADITION WE WILL CONTINUE TO DO AS LONG AS YOU ARE THERE AND WE CAN GET THE DAYS TOGETHER TO DO THIS.
WE ARE SO GLAD FATE ALLOWED US TO FIND YOU THREE YEARS AGO. I CAN'T IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD BE LIKE WITHOUT YOU IN THE BOAT FOR THOSE TWO DAYS OF FISHING.

KIRK, THANKS FOR THE BEST TRIP EVER AND I ALREADY EMAILED JULIE WITH DATES FOR 2008.

GOD BLESS YOU, JULIE AND JESSE, STAY SAFE AND HAVE A VERY GOOD YEAR.

Captain Kirk

Anyone can catch crappie when all the conditions are great and this fishing trip with you was just the opposite. The air temperture was colder than the water temp, but then that's why we have layers of clothes. The real problem was Kentucky Dam decided to drop the water one foot in a single day. Crappie really hate that.

With all the bad conditions I'm amazed we caught fish. Catching 40 crappie was great even though a lot of them were a half inch short and tossed back.

The "slab" crappie we did catch made up for the crappie tossed back. I also enjoyed catching large month bass on light tackle then releasing them for another day. The twenty yellow bass we caught will also be great eating. I always appreciate the fishing knowledge you share with me, so thanks again for another great trip.

Look forward to catching a cooler full of blue gill this summer. That's good eating and great fun.

Thanks for another great trip

Had a great productive day Crappie fishing Sept. 25th. I've told the story a dozen times how at the end of the day you spotted a school of large and Smallmouth Bass feeding in the middle of the lake. In the next hour the three of us caught 20 bass between 3 and 5 lbs. The highlight of the hour was you netting Rich's 4 lb smallie and at the same time my two 3 lb largemouth on the same crank bait. It seems like every trip is better than the last! You had better start thinking what you're going to do next March to top this. Thanks again, Denny.

Just a quick note on how great a time we had with Kirk yesterday. We had never fished on Kentucky lake, and Kirk made it an awesome time. We caught plenty of fish, but it was the teaching that Kirk did with both of us, as well as the camaraderie that we experienced that was awesome. Kirk turned a wonderful day into one that we will never forget. I have already begun to plan a trip for next spring with Kirk. This time I think my wife and I will be coming back. Thanks again, and wow what fun we had.

Dear Kirk,
Just a few lines to thank-you for our recent fishing adventure with you. It was 33 years since my wife, Gladys was last fishing with me. She had a great time and has started to tell bigger fishing stories then me. You were always so patient when you fished with my children and this time it was extended to their mother.

You and I have fished together many times in the past 12 years. It always has been quality time spent with a friend.

Thanks again,
Mark and Gladys Miglin

PS Yes, Gladys with be coming with us the next time.

Captin Kirk,

Thank you for the wonderful time fishing. My son and I looked so forward to fishing with you since last year's visit.
We would recommend you to anyone and everyone we know. I can't believe how many Catfish we caught when we were there and the catfish over 14 pounds will be a memory my son will never forget!
My boyfriend, Joe is an avid fisherman and I'll have to say he was hesitant to go with a guide.. but he was even impressed with the fish we brought back..here is the pic we promised to send you...and believe me when I tell you.. I'll be sending these
pictures to all my friends also.

Looking forward to our next visit,

Bernice, Nick and Joe

Dear Captain Kirk,

Thank you so much for the time and instructions you gave us on our fishing trip. We had a truly unforgettable time and we are still telling people about the fish we caught. Thank you so much!! We will hopefully get to come and fish with you again in the near future.

P.S. Please tell your wife thank you for helping us book our trip with you

Kirk:

Just wanted to drop a quick line to let you know that we really enjoyed the day with you. As soon as we started catching those white bass, the fact that it was 94 degrees didn't seem to bother us anymore. My son Caleb said he had the, "best fishing trip of his life." I guess him saying that made it my best as well!

I'm sure that we'll plan to come see you again soon, may even become a father/son tradition for us to come fish with you! I appreciate your dilligence in finding the fish, and your effort to make this Caleb's best fishing trip YET! I'm sure we'll build more memories aboard your boat in the future! I considered your fee to be a great investment in an afternoon my son and I will never forget!

I pray that God will continue to bless your business, as you give people a great opportunity to leave all the stress of their lives behind...and just enjoy the fellowship and fun of catching a BUNCH of fish!

Best Wishes and Gratitude:

Norb King
Stanford, KY

Julie & Kirk,

Jake and I just wanted to tell you guys thanks for one of the best trips I could have had. It's always fun for me to spend time with my kids and you two made a great trip for us. Even though the weather wasn't the best during the morning hours Kirk, you made us feel at home and we would have had fun reguardless of how many fish we caught.
Jake doesn't say much even around me, but he's stated several times how much fun he had and keeps asking when we can go back!!!

Julie, sorry for keeping Kirk out so late Sunday evening. Just wanted you to know that he went well above and beyond trying to get us on some fish. It's not what or how much fish you catch, it's the company your in when you catch them, that's what we will remember.

Once I figure out what's going on this fall at work I want to schedule another trip with you guys and suprise my son for his birthday, but I'll have as much or more fun than he will....HA!!!

Thanks again for making this one of our best fishing trips.

Jacob and Jerry Wirth

Dear Captain Kirk & Julie

While I was working long hard hours at my seasonal job in August through
October, my wife received your e-mail on the Fall Fishing Special.

She knows how much I enjoy fishing with you, so she arranged for a surprise
fishing trip as a present for our anniversary in November. Is that a great
wife or what!

Boy was I surprised, and knowing the trip was coming helped keep me going
all those long hours.

The November weather wasn't bad, just colder than my June trip. I just
dressed warm and boy did we catch the fish, lots of crappies and some
yellows.

It was a great 2 day trip and will hold me over until next June.

I'm telling all my friends about you, and so is Tom, my friend who came with
me on this trip. So don't be surprised if your client list from Illinois
gets bigger.

Thanks for another great fishing experience Kirk.

Dear Captain Kirk,

The earth's surface is 3/4 water and 1/4 land. It's obvious that God intended man to spend triple the time fishing than doing yard work. Now if we can only convince my wife of this fine logic, I’ll be set. Any tips? I have used you as guide every year for the past 4 years and I have never been disappointed. I would never consider using anyone else. Door to door you are all about the fish. This was the first year I took my boys along on your boat and I must say you handled them very well. Being it was their first serious fishing expedition, it was important to me that they have a positive experience and you delivered. It’s all they talk about. I would highly recommend your service to anybody looking for a guide.

A reel satisfied customer!

Me & dad were just checkin' out the pics from our trip.......man it puts ya right back on the lake! We really enjoyed both days of fishing, it's times like that you never forget!!!The whites kept us busy & re-stocked my freezer, but those large mouth were all so FAT & HEALTHY I have to say that was the best!! We look forward to see'n ya this fall if not sooner.
Thanks for the memories Kirk.
Jake & John Weber

Dear Capt. Kirk and Julie:

What a trip! We could not have asked for a better day and half than we got under the capable guidance of Captain Kirk. Months ago, when I was planning a fishing trip without the first idea of what I was doing, I turned to an online fishing forum for advice. An anonymous sage wrote: “Hire a guide so you and your son can concentrate on having fun and making memories.” That’s what we did, and Capt. Kirk provided the fishing that guaranteed the memories. We’re already making plans for next year.

Thanks, too, for the recommendation on Lodging. Perfect accommodations, great food, and incredibly nice folks.

We’ll spread the word about the great fishing to be found on Kentucky Lake, particularly under the experienced eye of Capt. Kirk Weber!

All the best,
Jim Kennedy

P.S. Thanks for sending the pics.

Thanks for giving us a great fishing trip. Bob will be talking about it for months. I know he'll be flashing pictures around to anyone who will look at them. Thanks again

If you are coming to Kentucky Lake to fish, then you need to start by hiring Kirk Weber as your guide. Captain Kirk has helped me plan a First Class trip, start to finish. First, he helped me find a great place to stay. Second, his knowledge of Kentucky Lake is unmatched. We caught countless fish that consisted of several species from Largemouth Bass, Sauger, Smallmouth Bass, and even a Flathead Catfish. I have booked numerous guided trips in several states, but no guide has worked harder to make sure I had a good time and that I caught good numbers of nice fish. Just to show you what I mean, I was traveling by myself and when Captain Kirk found this out, he invited me to join his family for dinner. That is customer service. My guided trips have consisted of visits to just about every Midwest state and Captain Kirk is the best guide in the Midwest. If you need further convincing, please contact Captain Kirk Weber and he will give you my contact information and I will talk to you personally. If you want a great fishing experience you only need to know two words: Captain Kirk.

Hi Julie, Kirk and family
I am already dreaming of next years trip.
Last year was my first time out with a guide for only one day with Kirk. We caught lots of fish. Nothing really big but it sure made me want more for the next trip.
This year I scheduled four days. Two were just me and Kirk, and on the other two days a friend of mine joined us. It was great. We caught lots of fish - small and large mouth bass, perch, sauger, and striper. I had never fished for striper before - they were some of the biggest fish I have caught.
We kept plenty and had some great meals, but a lot we chose to catch and release so other sportsmen could have the same thrill of the catch. Kirk suggested one of the small mouths should be mounted, but I let it go too. Maybe it will end up on someone else's wall.
I've already scheduled 7 days for next year, and I would encourage anyone looking for a really great guide to call the Captain. One day or a week, you will have the time of your life.
I'm from Central Illinois and the southern hospitality of this area is an enjoyable change of pace. Kirk makes you feel like he has known you for a long time right from the first day you meet.
I'll see you next May Kirk, can't wait for another week of fishing fun. And maybe next year Julie, we will get to meet you in person. All the e-mails for planning this year, I feel like I know you as well as Kirk

You are all great!

Hey Kirk, Julie and Jesse
I just wanted to say thanks for an outstanding day fishing. My stepson Kevin and I had one of the best fishing days I have ever had-60 crappie and 3 yellow bass. I've caught more fish, but not had that much fun, and that was the most fish Kevin has ever caught.
Kirk, I would recommend you to anyone who wants to catch fish of any type. You are one of the hardest working guides I have ever been with. You know Kentucky lake extremly well and Crappie even better. Fishing with you has given me good knowledge about the lake and Crappie that I will use for the rest of my life.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Thank You So Much
Ken Hamm

P.S. Thanks Julie for the lucky floating sports balls we had in the boat. I will have to buy me one to carry in the boat.

Hello Kirk, Julie and Jesse C,
Believe it or not Tim and I have been going to Kentucky Lake for the past 8 or 9 years. The main reason for returning to Kentucky Lake was the fishing and that is due to the fact we have Captain Kirk as our fishing guide. We started out hiring Captain Kirk for just a couple days and that wasn't enough so we would hire him for the week. Captain Kirk's knowledge of Kentucky Lake is amazing. He definitely will find you fish to catch. We guarantee you will have a great time on Captain Kirk's boat! He is truly a professional. More great fishing to come in the future with "The Captain"! HAVE FUN!
Sincerely,
Lynne and Tim Graunke

Just wanted to drop you a note to say what a great time we had with you again this year. The weather wasn't the best with that cold North wind whipping it up again, but as usual you came through and put us on fish most of the day. We've really come to respect your catch and release policy on the Smallies and Largemouth, and I'm glad to see you've had that same influence on our daughter. Your exceptional service and knowledge are by far superior to the other guides we've tried. We feel we've found the best Kentucky Lake has to offer, so why bother looking for someone else? Thanks for 10 years of great fishing and great friendship.

Captain Kirk is one of the finest fishing guides in all of America. He is considerate of your needs and will do everything in his powers to help you catch fish. There is always something biting at Kentucky Lake, and Kirk will put you on those fish. If you want to catch fish, whether it is crappie, smallmouth or largemouth bass, white bass, catfish, strippers, or even bluegills, Captain Kirk is the man.
P.S. He is great with kids.

Dear Kirk,
I want to thank you for a fantastic fishing trip last June. You consistently put me on the Bass, and gave me the chance for lively action and big fish. The result was we caught a lot of keepers. I appreciated your excellent knowledge of the lake, practice of catch and release and professional and safe boat handling. Rest assurred, I will schedule a future trip with you.
Sincerely,

Dear Kirk,
I just wanted you to know what a great time I had fishing with you in April, 2004. You are the best guide on Kentucky Lake. I will recommend you to anyone who wants to experience the "fishing trip of a lifetime". You have been my fishing guide for the last six years, and my family agrees with me that you are the best. Although they were not able to come with me this year, they are looking forward to our trip next year.
Thank you

Having been on the Bassn'Gal circuit and now the Women's Bass Fishing Association circuit for the past 15 years, I have had the opportunity to fish with many guides on many lakes. My concerns with hiring a guide is that they be knowledgable, courteous, timely, have good equipment, and willing to share many of the little things about the body of water I am fishing that will make that extra difference in helping me win or place.
Capt. Kirk has shown me to have these abilities and more. I have used him numerous times with success and have recommended him to many of my friends who have also had excellent results in fishing tournaments.
Your money and time will be well spent with Capt. Kirk.

Sincerely,
Sylvia Graham
