It’s officially fall here on KY Lake! Bass are busting shad in the backs of bays and on shallow points and ridges on the main lake. The Crappie have been biting good. I’ve been comfortable wearing long pants and long sleeve shirts all day long lately.

BASS
Good action can be found in the backs of bays fishing top waters, spoons, spinners and shallow cranks. Anything shiny will probably get you some action.

CRAPPIE
The Crappie fishing has been good all month. I can’t wait to see how good November will be. There seems to be an abundance of 11” Crappie in the lake with some nice 2 pounders mixed in as well. Fish jigs and minnows around brush in 9’ to 23’ of water for good action.

BLUEGILL
Catching lots of Bluegill in Crappie brush piles 9’ to 23’ deep. Wax worms, crickets and night crawlers will all catch fish.

CATFISH
Still some nice cats out deep on the river channel, but catching quite a few inside the bays while Crappie fishing. Fish: shrimp, minnows, night crawlers or your own concoction 30’ to 45’ deep on mainlake and 20’ to 30’ deep in the mouths of bays.

WHITEBASS
Action is still good on the main lake when there is current. There are quite a few whites in the backs of some bays busting shad. Fish rooster tails and spoons for good action.

All for now.
See ya on the lake
